Title: Tata Motors Reveals Details of Their New Electric SUV “Curvv”

Tata Motors surprised car enthusiasts in April 2022 with the unveiling of their electric SUV concept, “Curvv”. Its futuristic design and sloping roof caught the attention of many. At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors showcased a production-ready version of the Curvv, revealing that it will initially be offered with internal combustion engines (ICE). Recently, a reader of TOI Auto shared images of a production plant, confirming that the Curvv SUV is close to commencing production.

Tata Motors has announced that the Curvv SUV will feature a turbocharged 1.2-liter gasoline engine option. This new engine will make its debut in the SUV, offering improved performance. It is worth noting that the production version of the Curvv will have traditional external rearview mirrors instead of the camera setup seen in the concept. There are speculations that Tata Motors might launch the production version of the Curvv under the name “Tata Frest”, as the company has recently registered this trademark.

While the production body of the Curvv/Frest retains much of the initial design and shape, there are some differences compared to the concept showcased in January. The hidden air vent feature on the rear sloping roof is no longer visible, and the curved fenders have been replaced with a more angular design. However, it is expected that the production version will maintain the ultramodern touches seen in the concept, such as the animated LED lighting and vertically stacked LED headlights.

Tata Motors plans to launch the Curvv/Frest SUV in early 2024. With its striking design and anticipated features, this upcoming coupe SUV has generated significant interest among car enthusiasts.
